Texinfo 导出后端支持两种编写 Texinfo 定义命令的方式。一种在本节介绍，另一种见 Plain lists in Texinfo export。
Texinfo 导出后端会将专用块转换为同名命令，并将任意 ‘:options’ 属性添加至命令末尾，示例如下：

转换后为
@defun org-org-export-to-org ... A somewhat obsessive function name. @end defun
